Hotel Policies

We know, we know… rules ruin everything. But without a few simple guidelines and policies, chaos quickly sets in.
Do your part to preserving world order by keeping these guidelines in mind when booking your stay at Dream South Beach.

 

CHECK IN POLICIES

Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, passport, and proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation.

 

GUARANTEE RULES

Prepaid Reservations. Your reservation is being held by the credit card provided at the time of booking. The reservation is non-refundable / non-cancellable, and you will be charged the full amount at time of booking.

Cancellable Reservations. Your reservation is being held by the credit card provided at the time of booking. 100% of the first night may be charged anytime after booking. Your credit card may be charged if you do not check in at the Hotel on the scheduled arrival day, if you shorten your scheduled departure after checking-in, or if you do not cancel your reservation in accordance with the cancellation policy.

 

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, AND EARLY DEPARTURE

Prepaid Reservations. The reservation is non-refundable / non-cancellable, and the credit card provided will be charged the full amount at the time of booking.

Cancellable Reservations. You may cancel your reservation until 4pm local Hotel time 3 days before your scheduled arrival date to avoid 1-night penalty including room rate and applicable taxes. Any change to your arrival or departure date or room type is subject to the Hotel’s availability at the time the modification is requested and may change the rate and/or require payment of cancellation fees. To make a change please contact The Hotel.

Rates quoted are based on check-in date and length of stay shown. Should you depart early before the departure date confirmed for any reason, the Hotel may impose an early departure fee.

 

RATE RULES/RESTRICTIONS

Rates are confirmed in the currency of the country in which the hotel is located unless otherwise specified in your e-mail confirmation details. For non-US hotels, the rate confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the Hotel at the time of your stay, based on the exchange rate used by the Hotel and the rate is subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversion or foreign charge fees by the bank or credit card Company, which are not within the Hotel’s control.

All special offers and promotions are marked as such. If they are not labeled as such, you cannot derive any rights in the event of obvious errors or mistakes

Rates confirmed are for the number of occupants listed in your e-mail confirmation, per room, per night and do not include additional charges for rollaway beds or extra people and will apply only to rooms booked as part of this reservation. Tour and package rates vary according to the features of the specific package or program offered at each hotel. The applicable charges for the packages confirmed are indicated in your e-mail confirmation details. Applicable taxes, service charges, and value-added tax (VAT), if applicable, will be added to the hotel bill unless indicated as a package feature. The taxes, service charges and value added tax shown on your e-mail confirmation are those currently in effect. Taxes, service charges, etc. are subject to change without notice according to local law.

 

RESORT FEE

The rate does not include a Resort Fee equal to US$35.00+ tax per night, per room. The Resort Fee includes: Welcome glass of sparking wine on arrival, use of 2 luxury lounge chairs and towels on the beach, use of rooftop pool, pool toys and floats, water and suntan lotion at rooftop pool, poolside popcorn, discounts day pass to Crunch Fitness ($10.70), lobby coffee from 7am - 10am and two bottled waters per room, local and domestic phone calls, rooftop yoga (Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings), 25% discount on retail pricing for Art Deco Tours, and $5.00 discount on retail entry to Artechouse.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

A credit card and valid picture I.D. of the guest is required upon check-in.

Upon arrival, we require a valid credit card or debit card. The card will be authorized at check-in for the estimated amount of your entire stay (room, Facilities Fee, an amount for incidentals, plus applicable taxes). The deposit for incidental charges is $75 per night with a max of $300. It may take 72 hours or longer after check-out for your bank to release the credit hold on your account. The Hotel is not responsible for overdraft charges incurred due to the hold.

Cash payment is an option at checkout.

 

CHECK-IN / CHECKOUT TIME

Check-in is guaranteed at 4pm and check-out is at 11am.

 

EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECKOUT

Rooms may not be available until after the reserved hotel's designated check-in time. Early check-in and late check-out is based on availability, and subject to an additional charge. The early check-in fee varies, based on the time of your arrival. The late checkout fee varies, depending on the time of day. If a room is not available upon early arrival or we cannot extend your requested late checkout, our bell staff will be happy to store your luggage on your behalf.

 

PARKING

Valet parking is $47+tax with unlimited in and out privileges. The parking garage has a maximum height clearance of 6'4".

 

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the Hotel, including in the guest rooms. There will be a minimum $250 cleaning charge assessed if it is determined that there was smoking in the guest room during your reservation period.

 

PET POLICY

Yes, we accept dogs up to 30lbs for a $50 one-time fee. 
Service animals are exempt from pet policies and from any pet deposit charge or fee that is in place. If you have specific questions about staying with your pet or service animal, please reach out to us directly. Service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act - "any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability," are also permitted. Only the handler may touch the dog. Hotels will only accept pets for service and therapy dogs as required by federal and state guidelines.
